Happy New Year

Happy New Year

January 7, 2021

In this Podcast, number 9, of Yoga on the Sofa we look back one more time on the crazy year 2020 and we will look forward to 2021.

2020 is by most seen as a heavy, bad, sad year. Yet, as every year, there are some beautiful lessons to learn as well. In this episode we will at those lessons. Yoga calls this Santosha; looking at the bright side of life.

We believe everybody is the architect of their own life. You can create the life you want. Yoga has a very powerful tool for that; Sankalpa. We will explain you what a Sankalpa is in this episode and help you create one. In the next episode we will help you to 'program' your Sankalpa in your subconscious mind, so you too can create your own happiness, your own life.

Namaste,

Sara & John

There is no God in Yoga

There is no God in Yoga

November 25, 2020

There is no God in yoga. Yoga isn't a religion, yoga is a philosophy, a way of life. You can even call it a science. Yes, yoga believes in the Divine, but what the Divine is, is something you can fill in for yourself. Simply, because the Divine can't be described in words. It's a feeling. In this episode we well tell you more about it.

  • The Tea label of the week
  • The story behind Padmasana, Lotus pose
  • Our weekend tip: Celeste Barber

Switching off the automatic pilot as a yogi

Switching off the automatic pilot as a yogi

October 28, 2020

Yoga is the journey within. That means it is also a journey in which we get in contact with ourselves again. A journey in which we switch of the automatic pilot and start feeling how we are feeling and acting on that, instead of acting on the million to do lists we have.
Plus, how do you stay positive during the Covid crisis, the yoga library and more ....
The intro music is of Fred Westra, composer of yoga music.
